The Hive is looking to add fun, responsible, and hard-working team players to our Event Crew staff. This position is responsible for the loading, unloading, setting up and tearing down of our events. This position does require travel (mostly in Colorado and surrounding states, all travel expenses are paid for by the company). The Crew Member position is a part-time and seasonal position, however Full-Time hours (36-40 hours/week) including OT is very possible during our peak season, which is now-October. Please apply at the link below POSITION SUMMARY The position of Event Staff is responsible for correctly and efficiently completing all tasks assigned to them by the Production Lead and any member of the management team. This position executes on-site event sets and strikes and as well as tasks assigned in the warehouse. They possess a general understanding of how to care for inventory during transportation and handling. Event Staff crew members are expected to consistently follow all company SOPs that pertain to their position while contributing to a high sense of culture within the production department. They uphold company standards and professionalism in every task. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · Ability to be a team player and always work in a team environment · Pulls and preps inventory for safe transport to and from event sites · Loads and unloads inventory from and into box trucks · Inspects condition of inventory for damages or items that need repairs and reports any issues to a supervisor · Moves inventory into and out of event location using carts, hand trucks, and hand-carrying on a consistent basis · Cleans inventory with appropriate solution and technique · Receives direction and works under close supervision of the Production Lead and Production Manager to ensure accuracy. · Ability to safely lift up to 325 pounds with assistance · Other duties as assigned. CORE COMPETENCIES PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES · Must possess integrity, grit, and compassion · Must enjoy and appreciate the business of service and hospitality · Have talent for learning about others and defining their needs · Confident with a natural ability to make others feel welcome and cared for · Proactive, approachable, able to inspire confidence and enthusiasm · Creative and innovative thinker, always willing to offer new suggestions and ideas · Organized & efficient with impeccable time management skills · Works well under pressure and understands a sense of urgency · Prefers and understands working in a small entrepreneurial environment poised for growth · Must thrive in a team environment QUALIFICATIONS · High school diploma or GED preferred · A minimum of one year of experience in event industry preferred · Ability to safely drive and load a 26’ box truck is a plus · Clean MVR · Requires domestic travel to locations within Colorado and surrounding states · Must have a flexible schedule which will include nights, holidays, and weekends · Comfortable working on an A-frame ladder · Special skills such as wood working, furniture repair, painting, and power tool are a plus · Ability to travel up to 100% of the time. · Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position will work in a warehouse or on-site event environments including both indoor in climate-controlled environments and outdoors in non-climate-controlled environments. This position will travel to event locations and other domestic travel as needed. Must be able to stand and move event materials up to 100% of the time.. The employee will lift and/or move up to 325 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
