A Young Neutered Mans Man DSH Cat

Description

Rehoming our handsome man. Kinda a mans cat. A little rough around the edges. Not one of those finicky, prissy cats. Born 3/12/2021 He's really smart. He is taught to come, and sit with a readied treat and a simple hand jester. Loves to spend a few minutes outside. Not an "outdoor" cat but is curious so wants to check it out and come right back in a couple times a day. He'll never run away. He would be fine if he never went out also. *He wants a playmate* or someone to pay a lot of attention to him! We have a very small SPECIAL needs cat (which is why we had to make the choice to rehoming him rather than her). Although they are not really attached yet, he really has fun with her but, he's just a BIG 14 lb teenager, so is far too rough with her. She instagates it, and wants to play but their size is too dramatically different. We can't leave them alone together because this boy doesn't know his own strength! He hates having his claws trimmed but doesn't scratch us and he uses a scratching post exclusively. He'll hiss on occasion if he's scare, but it's all show! His size can be deceiving. Although he is a heft to pick up, he likes to be put on your shoulder (he lays his head down on your shoulder) and snuggled for just for less than a minute. He likes the attention after but in short spurts. He needs love and petting (LOVES his face rubbed) but when he's had enough he will suddenly jump down. Loves to play with toys you're teasing with, string, feather etc. He wants to play with YOU or your cat, not so much an unattended ball and such. We really want him to be PATIENTLY introduced to your medium or large cat. Yours must be the confident leader, he acts tough but is actually the submissive. He's always been in a quiet home. Not sure how he would be with little or young kids. I think not. He's kinda a pansy! Probably older, cat aware teens would be more calm around him. He's not at all finicky. Loves high protein kibble so, just feed him morning and dinner to stay healthy. Needs only a couple boosters so we'll do that or subtract those from the typical rehoming fee. *Do you have a young cat that needs a playmate too? Let's make both of them happy!*
