Seeking team-players with a flexible work schedule (days, nights, weekends and holidays). All applicants must be able to pass a drug test, have a clean criminal background as well as qualify to obtain a State of Florida Para-Mutuel License. * *(Felony violations will prevent the state from issuing license) * * Reliable transportation a must due to public transit may not be running for the late shift. OVERVIEW: Selling of pari-mutuel betting tickets to customers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Assigned window bank, sell wagering tickets and cash winning tickets · Perform cashiering functions in accordance with the Company and State policies · Accountable for overages and shortages in window bank. · Flexible to work in other areas of the Mutuel Department · Perform other duties as assigned by Management QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: · Good judgment regarding setting up work area · Ability to analyze facts regarding individual problems · Operational understanding of Mutuel ticketing machine and simple calculators · Basic math, reading and money handling skills · Outstanding customer service skills · Capable of moderate physical effort to perform duties · General knowledge of pari-mutuel wagering useful PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: · Meet all regulations pertaining to health, safety and personal hygiene in accordance with City, State, and Federal laws · Must not present a direct threat to health, safety or the welfare of fellow employees or others · Comply with Company / Department policies, including attendance · Treat all guests and employees with courtesy, respect, fairness and consistency · Professional in appearance, grooming and behavior · Ability to interpret and complete all communications received and submitted · Respond in a timely manner to all guests and employees · Mandatory Pari-Mutuel license to comply with the State of Florida, Department of Professional Regulations MACHINE/EQUIPMENT/TOOLS USED: Mutuel ticket machine, cash advance machine and V machine SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Fire extinguisher, rubber gloves and thermometer WORKING CONDITIONS: · Potential exposure to outdoor / indoor elements and air conditioning / heat · Continuous hand manipulation and sitting · Overtime work on "as needed" basis WE OFFER: * Competitive Salary * 401k * Great opportunity for growth and advancement * Fun and challenging work environment Derby Lane 10490 Gandy Blvd. St. Pete, FL 33702 DFWP / EOE www.derylane.com Applications are located in the Poker Room at the Security Podium.
