Pukalani Country Club Has Openings in ALL Positions Pro Shop Assistant Job Description Checking in golfers. Taking Tee Times. Selling merchandise. General customer service. Job Requirements Using a computer to make tee times and sell merchandise. Standing at the counter much of the shift. Interacting with customers in person and on the phone. Some knowledge of golf course operations is a plus. Free round of golf for every shift worked. Come into the Pro Shop for an application. Assistant Golf Professional/Merchandiser This is a full time position Paid Vacation. Medical. PGA Dues. Paid Holidays. Paid Sick Leave. Job Description Making Tee Times. Working the counter. Managing inventory and merchandise. Golf course operations experience is a must. Pukalani Country Club is the busiest course on Maui. Come join our team. Part Time General Labor Shift Day and Time: Works all weekends and designated holidays from 4:30A-8:30A Job Overview: Assists in setting up the golf course for golfers. Sets up tee markers, cuts new holes, empties rubbish cans, mows greens and rakes sand bunkers to assure golf course is ready for play on all weekend and holiday mornings. Supervision: Position reports directly to the Golf Course Maintenance Superintendent. General Duties/Functions: Clock in and out with your time card. Responsible for setting up the tee markers. Assures there is no obstacles or trees on the cart path. Empties and cleans all rubbish cans. Cuts new holes on each green to golf course specifications. Rakes all sand bunkers with motorized equipment. Rakes all sand bunkers with hand rakes if needed. Mows all greens with a motorized mower. Working Conditions: Be physically able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and under different lighting conditions. The job requires lifting of 50 pounds or more. Equipment Used: Golf carts, two-way radio, laptop computer, score cards, pencils, driving range balls/baskets/buckets/signage, air tank compressor, blower, brooms and dust pans. Other Materials Used: Position may be exposed to gasoline, lubricants, and other solvents. Mental Demands: Requires working under general supervision and the ability to work independently under a constant changing environment. Physical Demands: Requires standing for long periods of time and assist guests/members which frequently require lifting and pulling up to 50 pounds or more. Frequent bending, turning, crouching, and stooping. Must be able to operate a golf cart and other equipment in a safe manner. Must be able to operate a computer laptop to access the daily tee sheet. Normal vision and hearing ranges required. Must be able to fluently speak and write the English language. Qualification Requirements: Skills/Knowledge/Attributes: Possess general knowledge of golf course rules, regulations and play. Excellent oral communication and customer service skills. Enthusiastic and outgoing personality. Organized and able to work in a busy environment where the priorities are changing. Education/Training: High school education. Have a valid drivers' license.
