Downtown Columbia Arts and Culture Commission and The Columbia Festival of the Arts take over Busboys and Poets Columbia on May 9! The Columbia Festival of the Arts, Downtown Columbia Arts and Culture Commission, and Howard County Public School System are launching a new partnership to create exciting opportunities for local students to perform with dynamic, world-class artists on iconic stages in their own community. And we need your help! Help us build sustaining support for this budding partnership as we celebrate in style with a signature cocktail and open bar, delicious small plates, and amazing silent auction items! And guests who purchase upgraded tickets can see their support in action at our May 15 kickoff event - a performance of the renowned trio Time for Three with the Howard County Gifted and Talented Orchestra at the Jim Rouse Theater. Tickets: $75 per person OR $100 per person with the Time For Three upgrade! Host Committee: Suzi Padgett, Vanessa Rodriguez, Dave Simmons, Robert Neal Marshall, Terry Eberhardt, and Ian Kennedy. The goal of this partnership is to create inclusive, accessible, culturally relevant, and unique experiences for students that will allow them to showcase their talents, explore their interests, engage with their peers, and pursue their passions both on and off the stage. Our vision is to expand these opportunities in the coming years to include even more students and stages.
