In its 20th year, the Regis University Crime Scene Investigation Conference is proud to present Lt. Darren Versiga of the Pascagoula, Miss. Police Department. Lt. Versiga will discuss his role as an investigator on the Samuel "Sam" Little case.
About the Speaker: Lt. Darren Versiga is a career law enforcement officer with 28 years of experience. For more than 16 years, he worked as a criminal investigator, often on cold cases. He spent four years with the 19th Judicial District Attorney's Office in Jackson County, MS.
About Sam Little: Samuel "Sam" Little confessed to killing 93 people between 1970 and 2005, making him one of the deadliest American serial killers. Little is best known for targeting people, primarily women, who lived at the margins of society — many of his victims' deaths were initially thought to be overdoses or the consequences of a hard life. As of Nov. 2021, law enforcement has confirmed 62 of Little's 93 confessions.
