Description
NORTH ANDOVER, MA — North Andover has 67 active cases and will remain a high-risk community when the state releases its latest town-by-town data, the town said Thursday.
The state postponed its weekly release to Friday.
Just 12 of the 67 active cases are at Merrimack College, where an outbreak originally drove the town into the high-risk zone. Including the active cases, the town has had 730 total cases. Forty-five residents have died.
New coronavirus safety measures go into effect statewide, Friday, following a recent upswing in cases. They include a 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew and an updated mask order, requiring face coverings for everyone over 5 whenever they are in public.
