From improving balance and endurance to strengthening focus and self-esteem, yoga is a fun and playful way for kids to move their bodies while learning to practice calm, peace, and stillness. The new Kids Yoga on the Deck series at The Shops at Sportsmen’s Lodge invites children and their families out for a free 90-minute session held the first Thursday of every month at 10:00 a.m. Each event engages kids with an exciting new theme and activity, such as meditation, dance, and story time. Kids will not only get their wiggles out, but also absorb lessons on compassion, gratitude, and strength! Classes are led by renowned yoga practitioner Alicia “ACE” Easter, the founder of ACE Yoga LA and @kidsyogawithace, featured in outlets including Yoga Journal, Essence and Women’s Health. ACE believes in making meditation and movement interactive for the kids, starting each session with a dance to bring lightness, laughter, and fun.
