BSIS BATON TRAINING As a licensed Baton Training Facility (TFB 1265), C.A.S. and Sons Protective Group can help you meet the requirements to obtain your BSIS Baton Permit. However, you must have your BSIS Guard Card or be in the application process. Students MUST show proof at the beginning of class. Our course is designed to teach you everything you’ll need to know to carry and use a baton while on duty as a professional security officer. Subjects include: Moral and legal aspects of baton usage Issues concerning the use of force Baton familiarization and uses Fundamentals of baton handling, including: o Stances and grips o Target areas o Defensive techniques o Control and arrest techniques First aid for baton injuries You’ll receive classroom instruction with student handouts as well as segments of practical application. All materials used are BSIS approved. This class may be taken on-line, however, after completion, you must submit your certificate of completion and complete the hands-on training/test.
