Looking for like minded musicians in their 20s to 40s who excel at their craft. Original music and covers. Influences include newer artists like Black Pumas, Alabama Shakes,. Practice is on Thursday evenings in Belvidere, IL once every other week and with the right musician who blends in with our group, we will be able to get out the door soon! Congas and Cajon are my primary instruments. Has many other drums and instruments. Has PA gear and a nice practice space S. side Santa Fe. Loves Latin jazz, salsa, flamenco, samba, jazz, funk, rock, chill, Latin reggae. Has band and performance experience. Can practice and perform weekly with group. I’m having trouble breaking into the Raleigh scene, (not because I don’t know what I’m doing musically) but because I’m not from here, I don’t know the best venues to pursue playing, so I just end up driving to Washington DC, where I came from to gig 2 weekends a month. I could really use some advice on some venues that would be good for a very experienced band that does covers, (and originals) depending on the type of venue.
