NORTH ANDOVER, MA— When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories. This submission comes from Steph Miller who nominated Erica DelloRusso of North Andover. Name: Erica DelloRusso State: MA Home town: North Andover Hero's job: Volunteer. Collects donations of clothing, etc for families in need as well as toiletries. Also makes meals for the homeless to be picked up and delivered. Relationship to nominee: Friend Reason for recognition: Erica was once homeless and knows what "street life" is like and has turned her life around. Erica shows that a person CAN recover and help out as much as possible. I'm extremely honored to call her my friend! One thing to know: Erica has an incredible heart and cares for others!
