THIS Event is for the 11 Miles version ✔ You must be the original person with a ticket, have a matching ID that matches your Eventbrite Ticket and have a copy/screen-shot of the eventbright QRCode to participate in this event! (Except kids, coordinator/host and supports.) This is to help avoid scammers that will try to sell you fake tickets! Because of this, Kids accompanied by an Adult don't need a tickets. But every-one joining us must meet at the meeting spot to have you checked in. • Notice, this is snail pace Hike: Please don't message us asking for the same info.. if you are good with that, then please join us! Via Devil’s Backbone trail Saturday, April 30 2022 Coordinator: Jose Rodriguez ☼ MEETING TIME: 5:45 am HIKE LENGTH: 11 miles round trip HIKE LEVEL: Advance Hike / Level 8 - NO BEGINNERS ELEVATION GAIN: 3900' gain with top Elevation of 10,000’ ✳️ All Hikes subject to change due to weather or trail conditions. ✳ Make sure you have a full gas tank ready! ✳️ Adventure pass needed ✳️ Please read ALL the general requirements and guidelines which apply to this HiKe on this event page! ✳️ Car-pooling is an option from Subways ✳️ We also have a 6.6 Miles version that meets at 6:00am MEETING LOCATION: Subway @ 5:45am 594 E. Baseline Rd. Claremont CA 91711 • We will be leaving at 6:00am. The parking at the Trail Head fills up quickly. We’ll be driving from Subway after we have organized our car pooling and drive to the trail head. • Please have gas in the tank.. The drive to the trailhead is 15 miles! HOW DO I PARTICIPATE WITH THE GROUP ON THIS HIKE? 1. Register to this event (this is for the safety of you and the group! 2. Read all the HiKe’s Details on this event page. 3. Make sure that the HiKe Level accommodates your hiKing experience. 4. If, and only if it suits you, then "RSVP/ Click going" for this event and show up the day of the HiKe with all necessary gear and water (we mention everything you need on the details page for this HiKe). 5. ONLY invite your friends that you think can do this HiKe. 6. Check back in a few days after the HiKe for the group picture and tag yourself and friends. 7. Register to this event on Eventbrite NOTES FROM THE HIKE COORDINATOR: * If you have plans on splitting from the group, please don’t attend this hike. * If you have time constraints, please don’t attend this HiKe. * Please note there is some moderate incline on this trail. * Pack enough water for this trail ** Strollers are not permitted ** Due to the length of the hike, we are asking that our hikers not bring their dogs/pets ** Parking - Adventure pass needed - (you can buy it at any sporting good stores like big 5 or REI, for $5 dollars) & (Wilderness Permit – We will get as a group) REQUIRED: ✔ HiKing boots ✔Water / gatorade or something equivalent ✔ Flash light ✔ Adventure pass or Interagency Pass to park at trailheads. RECOMMENDED: ✳Light water proof jacket with hood ✳Layers of clothing ✳Trekking Poles ✳Waterproof pants ✳Water - 3 liters or more ✳Snacks ✳Sun screen ✳Bug Repellent ✳Sun Glasses ✳Cap/hat ✳And a smile ♡♡♡ A WATER CHECK WILL BE PERFORMED. • For your safety and the safety of the group, if you are not adequately prepared, gear or conditioning, you will be turned back for your safety and that of the group. IS IT DOG-FRIENDLY? = No• Due to the length of the hike, we are asking that our hikers not bring their dogs / pets! MY FRIEND SAID I COULD DO THIS HIKE; I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO IT, RIGHT: Contrary to popular belief, you know your body and HiKing experience better than your friends. Whether you are a first-timer or an experienced Hiker, please read our hike details page, as the HiKe may not suite your experience level.
