Currently in search of a dependable person to be an attendant in a church nursery. The position is part time and mostly on Sunday mornings. This position is part time: 3 hrs weekly normally, except during Lent(Ash Wednesday to Easter)and Advent(the 4 weeks before Christmas) and events as requested Pay is $13/hr Responsibilities: 1. Offer and provide for the emotional, physical and social needs of young children during the time they are in the church nursery. Children are ages 0-4 years old. 2. Interact with the children and encourage their involvement in activities. 3. Prepare and maintain a warm, safe environment that is orderly, clean and appealing. 4. Establish and maintain good communication and be sensitive and responsive to parents. 5. Read, understand and follow nursery policies. 6. Be on site in the nursery for the entire scheduled time; Sunday morning services and special events Working conditions: Part Time Sunday morning services at 8:30am( arrive at 8:15) and at 10:30am, and staying in between services(you will be paid for this). Mid week services during Lent and Advent ( evening service) Special events such as church functions and new member classes on an as needed basis Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Willing to under go background check(finger printing)
