Trout Unlimited & Philadelphia Parks & Recreation invites Girl Scouts to to explore the trout habitat along the Pennypack as scientists. STREAM Girls Program(Science, Technology, Recreation, Engineering, Arts, Math)Trout Unlimited and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation's Environmental Centers is excited to partner with Girl Scouts to explore the trout habitat along the Pennypack Creek.Every person is a citizen of her watershed and we would like to share with Girl Scouts what that means. By visiting Pennypack Creek, Girl Scouts will have the opportunity to observe it as scientists, anglers, and artists, and will get the complete picture of what their stream could mean to them.During this session, the girls will be observing a stream, sampling macro invertebrates, fishing, fly tying, and fly casting. Girls will have time to explore the natural area and record their thoughts and observations in their handbooks.Scouts that complete this program will receive a STREAM Girls patch.Girl Scouts, ages 11 – 16 (Juniors, Cadettes and Seniors).
