CORAM, NY — Two people were taken to a local hospital after they were shot in a strip mall in Coram on Friday afternoon, Suffolk police say. The two people were shot in the parking lot of the Middle Country Road mall at about 1:20 p.m., and they sustained "non-life-threatening injuries," police said. The investigation is continuing with 6th Squad detectives, according to police. No further details were released.
