Description

NEWTON, MA — Live theater is making its return to Newton in September with an outdoor production of "Waiting for Godot." Between Sept. 12 and 13, the Newton Nomadic Theater will put on four abridged productions of the Samuel Becket classic starring returning actors Noni Lewis and Linda Goetz as well as newcomer Tomi North. The show is directed by Nicole Galland. In a release, event organizers said the show will be presented in the backyard of the historic Durant-Kenrick House to allow for social distancing. Further, actors will wear microphones so attendees can hear well, even from a distance. The release states attendees who purchase multiple tickets will be seated together, but large moats of space will divide each group. Guests are also required to wear face masks when not seated in their assigned areas. Tickets to the Newton Nomadic Theater of Waiting For Godot – Covid 19 Edition can be purchased online.
