Description

FARMINGDALE, NY — The Nutty Irishman, a bar on Farmingdale's Main Street, will be hosting a live virtual music concert series to provide food to Dalers in need. "Feeding Farmingdale," featuring Long Island musicians, will serve as a fundraiser to help families impacted by the new coronavirus. All donations, with a small portion going towards some of the musicians who are out of work, will fund meals to be delivered to families. Food, such as family packs or items that can be reheated, will be dished up by 317 Main Street, an American gastropub near The Nutty Irishman. Both businesses are owned by Joe Fortuna, with Chef Eric LeVine heading up the kitchen of 317 Main. After providing roughly $2,000 worth of meals to families associated with St. Kilian Parish's outreach program, Fortuna said he wanted to reach out to the Daler community as a whole. "We wanted to do something for the families who are displaced by the COVID virus," Fortuna told Patch. Anyone who needs help, or knows of a family that needs a meal, can anonymously email [email protected] or fill out the form on the Stage 317 website. All families' privacy will be protected.
