NEWTON, MA — Officials are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged three cars in Newton Thursday. Someone reported a car fire around 11 a.m. on Commonwealth Avenue near Boston College. Fire officials said no one was injured and the flames did not extend to a nearby home or structures. No other information was released. 12/17 1100hrs Engine 4 responded to Commonwealth ave (by BC) for a car fire.
