CHICAGO, IL — A person was shot to death Saturday afternoon after a fight broke out in Bronzeville on the South Side of Chicago, according to a report in The Chicago Sun-Times.
Chicago police say a male, whose name has not been released, was inside of a home in the 4700 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue at about 1 p.m., when he was shot twice in the chest after getting into a fight with another male, Chicago police told The Chicago Tribune.
He was rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center and pronounced dead, The Sun-Times reported.
The gunman fled the scene, heading north and had not yet been taken into custody, The Tribune reported.
Police are continuing to investigate.
