I like rat snakes except when I catch them in my bird pens where they eat eggs and babies. I put them on Craigslist instead of taking them somewhere and turning them loose because there are enough wild rat snakes that taking a few out of the population is not going to affect it and because the more pet snakes there are the fewer people there will be intentionally running over them in the roads. This is young striped rat snake maybe 3 feet long. It appears to be docile and should be easily tamed. The first person who comes for the snake gets it.
