I know that the concept the perseverance must be quite alien to you considering you are bottle fed mother's milk and her basement as you play your video games. If you do not think perseverance is an issue for leaders or for a nation, then we would still be part of the queens colony. We would still have no idea what it is like to have a man step on the moon. We would have no idea what it is like to reach the outer reaches of our solar system. So to me, I think the example you cited clearly shows a leader that is interested in perseverance. Considering who are currently leader is, it is a quality that we all will be forced to need. I hope that clarifies things for you.
