Looking for someone to play some shows based around some of my original material. I've written and recorded a few LPs and am preparing to release a new one. After doing all of this solo, I'm ready to play some music with other people. I play guitar and sing but drummers, bass players, keyboards, guitar, pedal steel, any instrument welcome, really. I'm not trying to recreate the recordings, I want the live performances to be their own thing using my songs as a starting place for improvisations and new interpretations. My whole thing is having a pretty wide range from folk, blues, jazz, funk, and moving towards some more ambient, atmospheric jams. Being able to hold down rhythm as a base for improvisation or being able to improvise yourself is probably very important. I would also say my attitude is somewhat irreverent towards styles and genres. Drum machines, extended harmonies, country licks, broken fuzz sounds, keytars, synth drones, dive bombs, it's all good if it works.
