Seeking a bass player and a keyboard player to fill these empty seats in my little recording studio in Downtown Denver. Do you like a wide range of musical styles? Personally, I like all music from the 50s to the 90s. Do you like doing cover tunes? I love it! Do you like recording what you play? I live for it. Do you have any original material that you want to record? I might have a few "ideas" for songs, but I'm not very good at writing songs. I would love to at least attempt recording the drums on any original material that you might have. Do you believe you're good enough to someday play live gigs? I think I can do it. If we are sounding good, I will buy an acoustic set. For now, it's all about practicing, recording demos, and getting good. So, the idea is to start off with drums, bass, and keys, and if we are matching up well, and sounding tight, we'll move on to guitar. So, I am inviting anyone interested to text me and set up a day and time you'd like to stop by and see if I'm possibly the drummer for you. The vibe is simple. Good times, no pressure, no stress, and no hard feelings if we don't match up. About my place. It is a small studio in a high rise. There is space for 5 people. The view is awesome. The 20th floor penthouse is REALLY cool. We could even make recordings up there. Since this is an apartment, and we have to be relatively quiet, playing and recording is done through the Roland, with the use of a split headphone system, and playback and mixing is done over live speakers. It works out quite well. I've played all night long, and never had a complaint. Some people hate playing in headphones, but I wonder just how many of them have never recorded. This, I guess could be a red flag for you. If so, I wish you luck in your endeavors. That's about it. The recorder is a Roland VS880EX. It has killer onboard effects for drums, bass, keys, guitar, vocals, and it makes dynamic recordings. Use my bass and keys, or bring your own. Final detail is probably a killer for half of you, but unfortunately, smoking of anything has to be outside, and not on the balcony. I smoke cigarettes and weed.
