Vibes Open Mic is a monthly open mic experience presented by national spoken-word artist B.Arlene. Columbus, Ohio native B. Arlene is no stranger to the stage. She has been a featured performer at several galas and countless open-mics across the country. Now she is back to present Vibes Open Mic. Every third Wednesday, Hyer Hookah Lounge transforms from it's usual nightclub atmosphere into an intimate space of poetry. Each show highlights a featured artist while welcoming performers of all levels from enthusiasts to professional. This months feature is Kenzo Heartnette. Kenzo Heartnette is a Chicago-native whose work can be best described as a cross between Langston Hughs and Lil Uzi Vert. Kenzo Heartnette is a rockstar of a poet who subverts all expectations and a quirky libertine eager to defile every convention he can. With a degree in theatre performance and creative writing he draws from all avenues to create and perform.
