Join Lil' Miss Story Hour for stories, food, music, and fun!
On Saturday, May 14, 2022, Lil' Miss Story Hour will partner with Creations at the Edge to host their 3rd Annual AAPI Story Time & Vendor Market! We will celebrate Asian-American/Pacific Islander Month by honoring and elevating AAPI history, culture, and heritage through stories, art forms, crafts, special guest artists, and picture books! Explorations include but are not limited to writing, illustrations, mathematics, music, and social experiences.
Story time book selections will include "Eyes That Kiss in the Corners" by Joanna Ho; "Cora Cooks Pancit" by Donna K. Lazo Gilmore; and "Bilal Cooks Daal" by Anoosha Syed. And special guests will include, artist, poet, and outdoor enthusiast, Christine Flores; poet, Kimberley Hoadley; and Dj Timmy Sperling.
An AAPI vendor market will be open outdoors and on the upper floor of the venue from 12pm to 4pm. Food trucks will be selling amazing food, and DJ Timmy will host a dance party in the parking lot! Stories with guests will be intermittant throughout the day. A surprise headliner will close the event!
Mark your calendars and bring the whole family!
