"The Attentive Eye" opening reception and talk You are invited to attend the opening reception for Peter Y. Sussman's photo exhibit at Alliant International University in Emeryville. The event will include a talk by Sussman on "the art of seeing" -- a meditation on what the practice of photography has taught him about that vital art form and the personal and social value of paying visual attention. The large exhibit is Sussman's first solo show. It is based in the Hurwich Library and associated study rooms and extends along several corridors outside the library. Starting May 6, the exhibit will be open to the public on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., for at least the rest of the year. Light refreshments will be served at the reception.
