Influences include newer artists like Black Pumas, Alabama Shakes, Ghost Funk Orchestra, etc. But also the classics: Curtis Mayfield, P-funk, Bill Withers, Isaac Hayes, Sly & the Family Stone, Herbie Hancock, Marvin Gaye/Motown... Not really looking to do a 80's/90's style R&B/funk slapfest project this is more aimed towards a late 60's early 70's aesthetic and sound. We have a safe and secure practice space, a PA, good gear, we're just missing a bass player. Looking for established players with their own reliable (and loud) gear, their own transportation, and the willingness to show up to practice ready to write and play.
