Description
We are needing to rehome our one year old Pyrenees/Anatolian mix. He was given to us as a gift when he was 8 weeks old, and unfortunately, this breed is way too big for our home, or for suburban living for that matter. The person who gave him to us got him from a breeder in southern Oregon from an alpaca farm.
If you don’t know anything about Great Pyrenees, they are extremely protective of the home and everyone/everything in it, and this doesn’t work for our family as we have several teenagers who would like to bring friends home sometimes.
It is highly recommended that you have an outdoor living space and a lot of room for him to roam. He would be perfect for farm living as this is what the breed is most commonly used for.
Details:
Breed: Great Pyrenees/Anatolian mix
Name: Uhtred
Age: One year, 6 months
Size: 100 lbs
Temperament: Calm during the day, active at night. Extremely protective of the home. Prefers outdoors(even when it’s cold and snowing). Would make a great livestock guard dog.
Not neutered
Current on all shots and required check-ups (He does great at the vet).
Contact me if you have the space and the time to devote to this giant puppy. No rehoming fee, just the expectation that you will at least research the breed. You may not visit him at our home as he will not tolerate visitors.
