THE 2nd ANNUAL HARLEM DERBY MUSIC FESTIVAL This is a community-wide celebration designed to spotlight the legacy and impact of African - Americans in Thoroughbred Racing - America's first national sport. Your experience includes music, history, fashion show, bourbon tasting,derby cuisine, best dressed, and hat contest. It is a fantastic opportunity to mix and mingle with culture enthusiasts in New York City in a festive environment. Harlem Derby LLC produces The Harlem Derby Music Festival. This community-based organization invokes fashion design and style to elevate the public profile of Black Horsemen. We aim to ensure that this rich heritage is permanently ensconced in our collective memories. The legendary stories of Black Jockeys need to be heard. The Harlem Derby Music Fest embodies Harlem's smooth, chic style to carry the story forward and assure that it remains part of the Harlem community for generations to come.
