This workshop will explore the connection between writing, mental awareness, and mental health. Writing is an excellent way for young people to be in touch with their emotions, work through challenges they are facing, and create belongingness and increased self-esteem. The workshop will include writing exercises that will encourage and foster these skills in youth.
This workshop will be facilitated by a teen in our Teen Writers Studio program and it is designed for young people grades 6-12 to attend.
