The DSHS Public Health Region 2/3 Zoonosis Control program will be holding a Basic Animal Control Officer Training Course and Test The DSHS Public Health Region 2/3 Zoonosis Control program will be holding a Basic Animal Control Officer Training Course and Test on June 14-16, 2022. It will be held at the TX Dot District Headquarters in Fort Worth. The cost of the course is $75.00 (check/money order). Payment will be collected on the first day of the course. If you wish to attend the course and test, please register using the "Full Course" ticket option. You will receive an acceptance packet with important information within 5-7 business days. Your registration for the course is not complete until you receive the acceptance packet. If you have already completed the Basic Course and only need to test. Please register using the "Test Only" ticket option. There is no fee associated with testing only.  You will need to have the following to be eligible for testing: Your course sponsor must provide verification via email or fax of the date and location of your Basic class and that you are qualified for testing.  If your course sponsor is unable to provide the verification you are not eligible for testing. You will then receive an acceptance packet with important information within 5-7 business days. Your registration for the course is not complete until you have received the acceptance packet.  On the day of testing: You must present the original letter received upon completion of your basic course.  If you are unable to present the letter, you will not eligible to test.Present your State Issued Photo Identification.  FAQs   It says the course costs $75.00, but my ticket says "Free". How do I pay for the course? Payment by check or money order will be collected on the first day of the course. Please make sure you have your payment with you, as we cannot allow you to test until you have paid. We are not able to accept payment by credit card or cash. Note: This does not apply to you if you have taken the course elsewhere and are only taking the test. There is no cost to test. Who do I make the check out to? Checks should be made payable to Texas Department of State Health Services.   Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? You do not need to bring your printed ticket with you to the course or test. When is the test? The test will be held on the afternoon of June 15, 2022, and the morning and afternoon of June 16, 2022. More information regarding test times and when to report will be provided in your acceptance packet.   Can I update my registration information? If you need to make any changes to your information, or if you are unable to attend, please contact us directly. How do I know if my registration went through? You should receive an acceptance packet with important information within 5-7 business days of submitting your registration through Eventbrite.
