STRATFORD, CT — State Rep. Joseph Gresko (D-District 121) commended the start of a construction project on Route 113 in Stratford during a news conference Wednesday morning at Sikorsky Memorial Airport. The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced earlier in July that, beginning Sunday, a 2.29-mile stretch of Route 113 from the airport to Barnum Avenue will undergo long-awaited milling and resurfacing. "This is great news for the town of Stratford," Gresko said in a news release. "For several years now, I have been pushing for this busy and important stretch of road to be resurfaced." The milling portion of the project is scheduled to be completed by July 29, while the resurfacing will run from Aug. 2 to Aug. 14. All construction will be completed overnight from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
