Needham Gas Main Break Evacuates Homes

NEEDHAM, MA — A gas main break on Central Avenue prompted the evacuation of homes and businesses in the area. The break was quickly taken care of and residents allowed back into their homes. Needham fire and police crews were on scene as well as Eversource. Officials said the break happened near Central Avenue and Reservoir Street. No word on what caused the break or if there were any injuries. The area was closed off to traffic but has since been reopened.
