Join Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful on the Hillsborough River Volunteers are invited to join our Hillsborough River Cleanup Crew Days! Join us on our new 26ft pontoon boat. This cleanup is a part of Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful's Trash Free Waters Program and serves as a call to action to create more sustainable communities by focusing volunteer efforts on activities that impact individuals in need, lead to aesthetic community improvements, and provide a positive environmental impact. Litter on roadways, in parks, rivers, and neighborhoods negatively affects the environment, and isn’t something residents or visitors want to see in their community. Volunteers will meet Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful's Boat Captain and Trash Free Waters Manager, Al Antolik, and join him as you travel to areas of need on the Hillsborough River collecting debris. Meeting Time: 9:00 a.m. Take off at: 9:15 a.m. Cleanup from: 9:15 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Where: Public Boat Docks by Armature Works ( Not Armature Works main dock ) ( Multiple aluminum docks along side of Armature) - Approximate location: 27.960748, -82.466410 Parking: Street Parking along Sandra Heights Ln and Cruis a Cade Pl ( Look at map in Satellite view look for brick cut ins along road just above the 3 public docks) What to Bring: Sunscreen Hat/Sunglasses Protective footwear (closed-toed, no sandals or flip-flops) Reusable water bottle Snack Life jacket, trash bags, water and soft gloves are provided.
