STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford man is accused of starting a fire last year at his family's home, according to the Connecticut Post.
Roneige O. Tulloch, 28, was arrested Saturday and is charged with third-degree arson, third-degree burglary and first-degree criminal mischief, according to court records.
Firefighters were called Sept. 6, 2019, to the house on Broadmere Road, where they found smoke coming from the front door and furniture ablaze in the basement, the fire department reported at the time. The residence suffered a large amount of smoke damage.
Neighbors told law enforcement they saw Tulloch removing items from the house and loading them in his car before the fire, and police found several bottles that smelled like gasoline in the vehicle, according to the Post, which reported a judge ordered a psychiatric examination for Tulloch.
Tulloch's bond is set at $100,000, court records said. He has yet to enter a plea and his next appearance is set for Feb. 3, according to court records.
