Press release from the Town of Westwood: April 21, 2022 Annual Town Election-Important information Date: 04/26/2022 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM Location: Westwood High School Gymnasium580 High StreetWestwood, Massachusetts 02090 The Annual Town Election will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. All voters will vote in one central location, Westwood High School Gymnasium. There will be five precincts set up and voters will be directed to their appropriate precinct. This new location is a permanent change and all elections will be held here. Please be aware, you will be receiving important information regarding this change in location with your new precinct number. Westwood originally had four precincts however, due to the results of the 2020 federal census, an increase in population caused our district lines to be redrawn so not more than 4000 residents would be in one district, creating a fifth precinct. Click here to see what your precinct number is Polls will be open from 7:00 AM until 8:00PM. Absentee voting by mail will be available to those who qualify: The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is 5:00 PM, Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Please click here to download an application and submit to the Town Clerk. To qualify for an absentee ballot, you must: Be away from your city/town on Election Day; or Have a disability that keeps you from voting at your polling place; or Have a religious belief that prevents you from voting at your polling place on Election Day Absentee voting in person is also available to those who meet the above qualifications through Monday, April 25,2022 at 12:00 PM. (Please contact the Town clerk's office by telephone 781-326-3964 or email before arrival to ensure we have received the Absentee ballots) You must be a registered voter in the Town of Westwood to vote in Westwood Elections.
