We are pleased to host you at our fundraising dinner for the Detroit Muslim Center's soup kitchen featuring guest speaker, Dr. Yusef Salaam
With your generosity and the will of Allah the Muslim center looks to upgrade the dilapidated kitchen to a commercial kitchen in order to continue to provide service to the community through the soup kitchen and pantry. Our kitchen is an integral part of our community as we have fed families in need through our soup kitchen and food pantry which has been operating for over the last 30 years. We are fortunate to have not missed one meal even during the Covid-19 pandemic, Alhumdulilah! However, due to various circumstances that challenged us as a nonprofit organization, there were repairs that were left outstanding which has left us in a noncompliance with health and safety mandates by our county health department. It's for these reasons that we are striving to renovate the kitchen and bring it up to code. InshaaAllah, we can raise our goal of $50,000 to help start this project. The total costs is $100,000.
