LINDENHURST, NY — Suffolk County Police are investigating a garage fire that occurred on Friday afternoon in Lindenhurst. At about 3 p.m., officers and Lindenhurst Fire Department responded to the fire, located at a multiple dwelling residence on South 3d Street, police said. No one was inside at the time of the fire, police said. (Patch Contributor)The garage was fully engulfed, spreading to the upstairs apartment, police said. The garage, and apartment, were unoccupied at the time, police said. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
