Lunch With Latinas Dr. Diana L. Martínez, Deputy State Epidemiologist and a Senior Epidemiology Subject Matter Expert at the Texas Department of State Health Services, is the guest speaker for the Center of Latino Studies "Lunch with Latinas" event 1 - 2:20 p.m. on Monday, April 25, in the Welcome Center's Travis Room. The event is free and open to the public. Martínez's professional experience includes public health responses to Hurricanes Katrina in 2005 and Ike in 2008. She also led the 2016 ZIKA virus investigations and assessment of health policy during the pandemic for the New York City Mayor's Office. Previously, she served as Senior Health Policy Advisor to the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Health & Human Services for the City of New York, and Senior Epidemiologist for Harris County Public Health. Link Up With LinkedIn Headshot Event UHD Main Career Center's Career Coaches will be available to review reviewing LinkedIn profiles for alumni and undergraduate students, from 11:30 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, in One Main Building, Room S402 and virtually via Zoom from 3 to 6 p.m. If attending this event in person, free headshots will be available, so dress professionally! Spring 2022 Commencement Orientation Spring 2022 Cap & Gown and Commencement Orientations will be held at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Wilhelmina Cullen Robertson Auditorium on Tuesday, April 26. Ceremony details will be shared at the events and students can pick up their caps and gowns. Please RSVP for one of these events.
