SAN ANTONIO (April 22, 2022) — The District 5 Office is hosting their third Bond event this Saturday, April 23rd 10:30am – 11:45am, at the Normoyle Community Center located at 700 Culberson Ave., 78225. Constituents will have the opportunity to learn about the historic $1.2 billion bond, details on the largest proposed District 5 Bond package at $95.5 million, and City Staff will be available to answer questions.
The event will feature an appearance by Mayor Ron Nirenberg to encourage residents to learn more. "Our city works best when voters are fully informed, and I appreciate Councilmember Castillo's efforts to make the details of the 2022 bond program accessible," said Mayor Ron Nirenberg.
Regarding the event, Councilwoman Teri Castillo stated, "This event is our way of educating our residents on the proposed Bond package which includes key infrastructure improvements that addresses the City's failed streets, facility improvements toward Fire Station #33, and funding toward twelve District 5 parks which includes Normoyle."
Food and refreshments will be available for residents who attend.
