EAST MEADOW, NY — The results are in, and the East Meadow School District's budget passed. The vote was 5,618 to 2,339 in favor of the spending plan. Two school board candidates were running unopposed. Alisa Baroukh received 5,677 votes and Scott Eckers received 6,047. Voters also approved a proposition to install turf fields, 4,807 to 2,893. All of the votes were cast by absentee ballot this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
