EAST MEADOW, NY — The East Meadow School District welcomed back students to its nine buildings during the week of Sept. 8 for the start of the 2020-21 school year. East Meadow has adopted a hybrid learning model for grades 3-12, with cohorts of students alternating between in-person and distance learning. One group of students attended in-person instruction beginning on Sept. 8, and the other on Sept. 10. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth A. Card Jr., Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Dave Casamento and other members of central administration and the board of education visited the district's elementary, middle and high schools to extend their good wishes to each group of students for the upcoming year.
