MERCER COUNTY, NJ – After a three-year-long hiatus, Mercer County's popular Azalea Festival is back this year. Expect the flowers to be in full bloom during the Mother's Day weekend.
The festival will be held at the Sayen Botanical Gardens in Hamilton on May 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For the past two years, township officials had to cancel the festival due to the coronavirus pandemic and restrictions placed on outdoor gathering limits.
On display this year will be Over 250,000 flowering blubs, including dogwood, azaleas and rhododendrons. The Sayen Botanical Gardens has landscaped paths, fountains, bridges, lakes and gazebos.
There will also be tours of the Sayen House, crafters and vendors, food trucks, music and children's activities. Rain date is set for May 8.
The Sayen Botanical Gardens is located at 155 Hughes drive, Hamilton.
