Description
NASHUA, NH — Nashua Fire Rescue and AMR Ambulance were dispatched to a report of an unresponsive person found in the woods off Baldwin Street on Friday.
Firefighters communicated to AMR that it was a "Code 10" over the radio, which is the code used for a deceased person. AMR medics were requested to walk into the woods, which is near an overpass over the Veterans Memorial Parkway. Police arrived at the scene and Nashua Fire and AMR went into service and cleared the scene.
At 6 p.m., four cruisers remained parked on Baldwin Street. Officers appeared to be a significant distance into the woods and could not be seen from the roadway.
A neighbor who lives in the area on Fairmount Street said the property the police appeared to be on is a plot of land that has been for sale. The wooded area has apparently attracted some homeless individuals over the past few months.
The wooded area is accessible from Baldwin Street and the Veterans Memorial Parkway.
No information has been published by Nashua Police or other agencies.
Nashua NH Patch will update if additional information becomes available.
