LA GRANGE, IL – A contractor reported the theft of $10,000 in equipment on the morning of April 15, according to a La Grange police report. The theft occurred between 8:45 a.m. and 8:56 a.m. in the 400 block of South Stone Avenue, the report said. Stolen were a sewer camera and recording monitor, each worth $5,000, police said. The crime happened while the contractor was in the customer's house for a few minutes, police said. The only other incident in the La Grange Police Department's weekly blotter was identity theft. A resident in the 800 block of Eighth Avenue told police that someone fraudulently filed a tax return under the name of the resident's adult child. No financial loss was reported.
