DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Thieves cut catalytic converters from two cars in Downers Grove between April 9 and April 16, according to a recent crime blotter.
The first incident took place in a lot in the 2800 block of Maple. A resident told police they parked their Honda CRV in the back parking lot to the west of the building around 10 p.m. on April 14. They returned to the car around 8 a.m. the following day and noticed their catalytic converter had been stolen.
A catalytic converter was stolen from a Cadillac Deville sometime between April 9 and April 16, according to a police blotter. The victim told police they parked their car in a lot in the 5700 block of Walnut Avenue around 12 p.m. When they returned on April 16 and started the car, they heard a loud sound. They checked under their car and noticed the catalytic converter had been removed.
