I need someone to do shopping and other errands, perform simple household tasks, take dictation/notes and transcribe writing, and assist me with personal office and creative projects, for $20/hr, 20-30+ hours weekly. You need to be computer savvy and have a good grasp of grammar and spelling. The shift configuration is flexible. I am seeking coverage for 2-3 consecutive weekdays -- Mon/Tues (and possibly Weds), OR Thurs/Fri (and possibly Weds) -- from around 12pm until 10pm. Let me know your ideal days in your cover letter. Please be prepared to be clear and honest around your wants/needs/availability, and able to commit to a year of employment, minimum. You must be based in or near Santa Fe: there is a mandatory paid trial period, to make sure it’s a great fit for everyone. TASKS YOU CAN EXPECT: Office / Correspondence Internet research Editing/writing (Microsoft Office experience required) Emails (Google email / calendar experience required) Scheduling appointments Ordering supplies online Scanning + emailing documents Transcribing + printing communication Phone calls / medical advocacy Collaboration on creative projects Errands Grocery shopping (usually 2 grocery stores) Occasionally driving me to appointments Mail, UPS, package returns Taking my dog to the vet Filling the car’s gas tank, other minor maintenance Miscellaneous Household Tasks Unloading groceries into the house, washing vegetables, putting away groceries Moving large bottles of water or heavy packages into the house Occasional dog care Minor cleaning + housekeeping Minor outdoor maintenance: filling bird bath, watering plants, etc. Simple household projects + repairs, as your skills allow PLEASE BE: Organized and admin-minded Easygoing and flexible A good writer—I will rely on you for much of my correspondence Eagle-eyed: I have very specific dietary and medical needs, and need you to follow lists and directions carefully Responsible and reliable: show up when you say you will A good driver: have a good driving record and a driver’s license Fragrance-free: please only use unscented personal hygiene products (recommendations provided) Comfortable with responsibility Prepared to undergo a background check, provide references, and sign a nondisclosure form Capable of moderate lifting Willing to have your phone turned off around me (this isn’t a good fit if you need to be consistently on call for family or other jobs) Committed to keeping the position for a year, minimum Local to Santa Fe LOCATION You'll work primarily in an office/casita adjacent to my home (a few minutes from Harry’s Roadhouse); also in a vehicle—mine is sometimes available, but you should also have your own as backup (I reimburse your personal vehicle use for errands).
