NATICK, MA — The Natick School Committee this week officially approved a four-year contract extension for Superintendent Anna Nolin.
The extension comes after Nolin got high marks during her annual performance evaluation earlier this summer. Nolin's current contract lasts through June 2022, but the extension pushes the end date to June 2026.
"We are proud of the success Dr. Nolin achieved in remote learning, leading her team to completely recreate learning within the span of just a few days," the committee members wrote in Nolin's July performance review. "This gives us great confidence in what Dr. Nolin will be able accomplish as we face another difficult year in which she will need to remake systems and reimagine learning during a worldwide pandemic."
However, Nolin is not getting a raise in connection to the extension due to budget difficulties related to the coronavirus pandemic, Natick School Committee Chair Julie McDonough said Monday. Nolin earned about $196,000 as of 2019.
Nolin has had a long career in Natick schools. She was promoted in 2013 from principal of Wilson Middle School to assistant superintendent. She became interim superintendent in April 2018 when Peter Sanchioni resigned, and the School Committee unanimously approved her as his replacement in November 2018.
