Description

looking for a male to have fun with. In & out of the bedroom. ''''''''''''Bass/keys player looking to start a Psychedelic soul/funk/jazz band. Looking for like minded musicians in their 20s to 40s who excel at their craft. Original music and covers. Influences include newer artists like Black Pumas, Alabama Shakes, Ghost Funk Orchestra, etc. But also the classics: Curtis Mayfield, P-funk, Bill Withers, Isaac Hayes, Sly & the Family Stone, Herbie Hancock, Marvin Gaye/Motown... Not really looking to do a 80's/90's style R&B/funk slapfest project this is more aimed towards a late 60's early 70's aesthetic and sound. We have a safe and secure practice space, a PA, good gear, we're just missing a bass player. Looking for established players with their own reliable (and loud) gear, their own transportation, and the willingness to show up to practice ready to write and play. We want to be ready to play shows by this summer. Hit us up and lets get loud.Anyone out there who’s a guitarist-singer looking to join a band. We got a couple of tunes in the works and looking to round up the line up. We are looking to start a 3 piece and do all the band stuff (rehearse, play live, record music etc). Whether you’re looking for an experienced guitarist to fill a spot in your band, or if you’re just looking to jam I’d like to see who’s out there. I am a freelance guitarist always looking to keep my calendar as full with gigs as I can. Seasoned pro with lots of experience. I play both acoustic/rhythm guitar and electric/lead as well. I especially enjoy playing acoustic rhythm guitar. It seems to be rare to find guitarists that truly know how to properly play acoustic rhythm the right way. My specialty is country, but I can play just about any sort of pop/rock/anything other than metal or straight jazz. I know how to play the right way and always serve the song/group/music properly. I also can learn music very quickly. If you have any gigs you need a guitar player for, especially fill-in/sub work, shoot me an email and we can talk some more.. If interested, email me back for details.I can improv little 2 bar diddly-do’s or wiggity-wah’s, but I’m most comfortable as a rhythm player, or a lead with time to prep.Pretty specific about what we're looking for, The SoundWorkshop recording studio, located in Greater Cincinnati, is owned and run by “Lightnin” Hopkins, a recording engineer and producer with 36 years experience, engineering over 500 albums, including working on a Grammy-nominated CD. The studio has over 30 studio-quality mics, including tube mics, isolated Mapex drum set, vocal isolation booth, amp isolation booths with Mesa Boogie, Nextone and Fender guitar amps, Ampeg bass amp, 88-note weighted-action keyboard controller with MIDI modules, ProTools with hundreds of plug-ins, and high-quality external Focusrite and Presonus mic preamps. Anyone can buy recording equipment and call themselves a “recording engineer” Why waste your money in someone’s basement or bedroom? Influences include newer artists like Black Pumas, Alabama Shakes, Ghost Funk Orchestra, etc. But also the classics: Curtis Mayfield, P-funk, Bill Withers, Isaac Hayes, Sly & the Family Stone, Herbie Hancock, Marvin Gaye/Motown... Please feel free to ask any questions w your response, Thank you !
