NATICK, MA — Natick voters set new records in 2020 compared to other recent presidential elections, including the highest turnout dating back to 2004, according to ballot data.

Between 2016 and 2020, the GOP share of votes for president in Natick shrank from 24.23 percent to about 22.88 percent, according to turnout data. That's a more than 10-point swing from 2004, when nearly 35 percent of Natick voters chose the GOP candidate.
On the other side, 74.72 percent of votes went to Biden — the first time a Democrat has earned three-quarters of the town's vote dating back to 2004. The Democratic trough was seen in 2012, when only 61.94 percent of the vote went to Barack Obama.
